A unique celebration set for Independence Day, Wednesday, July 4th, will bring attention to the tireless efforts of the U.S. Coast Guard. The 2nd Annual Coast Guard Festival will be held at Pier 3 at Alameda Point from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
The Coast Guard will present displays on particular missions including: CG Helicopter, MSST and Whaleboat displays. Tour a Coast Guard Cutter and view rescue swimmer and silent drill team demonstrations courtesy of the Coast Guard. The festival will also feature live music, the food and beer trucks, activities and games for kids, and more.
The event will also feature the Alameda Mayor’s Fourth of July Parade awards ceremony and floats from the parade on display.
Bike valet will be available courtesy of Bike East Bay.
